Each bag is named for a famous LA neighborhood, embodying the unique essence of each location. The Topanga Hobo gives off the Bohemian Vibe of the well known artist enclave, while the Brentwood evokes the upscale, polished feel of the wealthy suburb and the easy going Montana Messenger can be slung over the body, perfect for the beachy streets of Santa Monica.
Hammitt gives a refreshing spin on two traditional shapes with their most popular bags, the Westwood Collection. Each bag comes in four signature leathers, white, cognac, brandy and black, and range from $485 to $675. The cognac and brandy bags are decorated with gold studs, while the white and black bags are adorned with silver studs. If you’re looking for a little more flare both bags also come in several croc suede combinations, the Westwood comes in a patent python as well as a distressed lamb. The Westwood measures 14” in length, 6.5” in width and 9” in height. If I had to choose a Hammitt bag my favorite is the Westwood in signature leather brandy, it has ideal levels of sophistication and edge, however all of Stef Hammitt’s bags have amazing detail and any one of them would look great on an arm!
